Faith and Vision Statement

Statement of Faith

We believe:

The LORD is our God, the LORD is one, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- the Creator of heaven and earth. (Deut 6:4, Gen. 1:1; Isa. 42:5)

The Bible

The Bible -- both the Old and New Covenant Scriptures -- is God's breathed out Word to man and the only reliable, safe guide to faith and conduct. It is eternal and unbroken. (Num. 12:6-8; Isa. 8:20; 2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Deity of Christ

In the deity of our Lord, Christ (Messiah) Jesus (Yeshua) Jesus is God incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14) (Matthew 1:18-23) and was manifest in human flesh. He was like us in all ways except for one, being free from sin. (Isaiah 9:6-7) (John 1:1-14) (John 5:22-23) (John 8:54-58) (John 10:30) Yeshua is the fullest revelation of God to humanity. (Isa. 7:14, 9:6-7, 49:6, 53:1-12; Psa. 16:9-11)

He is Israel's promised Messiah and the Redeemer of humanity. Because of His life, death and resurrection, He fulfilled the messianic prophecies of the first coming revealed in the Old Covenant Scriptures.

The Trinity

In the tri-unity of God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) (Matthew 28:19-20) (Mark 12:28--31) (I John 5:7) God made man in His own image and endowed him with a longing for intimate fellowship with the Creator (Gen. 1:26, 2:7; Psa. 41:1-2).

Fall of Man

Man's disobedience to God's revealed will caused a separation between man and God. (Gen. 2:16- 17; Isa. 59:1-2)

Salvation by Grace

The only provision God made for reconciling man to Himself was through the atoning work of the Messiah, who died as the sacrifice for our disobedience and rose again, manifesting His victory over sin and death. (Lev. 17:11; Isa. 53:1-12; 2 Cor. 5:19)

Salvation is therefore by grace. It is a gift from God, given to all who believe in His Son Jesus, the Messiah, and accept Him as the Lord of their life. (Matthew 16:21-26) (John 3:16-19) (John 14:6) (Acts 4:12) (Romans 10:9-13) (Ephesians 2:4-9) (I John 5:9-12)

All who repent from sin and accept God's message of salvation in the Messiah are born again of the Spirit of God. Faith in the Messiah as the mediator of the New Covenant makes us true children of God.(Jer. 31:31-34; Ezek. 36:24-27; John 1:11-13).

Water Baptism

We believe that all believers should receive water baptism, as a demonstration of our faith, and in obedience to the commandment of our Lord. This act represents a commitment by the believer, and should be accompanied by a renewal and sanctification via the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is an outward symbol of spiritual identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:18-20) (Mark 1:4-11).

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells the heart of every born again believer. The baptism of the Spirit for anointed service is the positional right of every believer, but is appropriated as a faith experience distinct from the born again experience. (Acts 8:15-17, 10:44-46, 19:1-6)

Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit is for the edification of the body of believers, and enabling the believer to live a life pleasing to God.

(Matthew 7:13-23) (Acts 2:38-39) (Romans 12:4-8) (I Corinthians 12:1-12) (I Corinthians 13:1-3) (Galatians 5:22-26)

The atonement in Yeshua includes both spiritual and physical healing. The blessings of obedience promised to Israel in the Mosaic Covenant are available to any believer under the New Covenant today. (1 Pet. 2:24; Isa. 53:5; Psa. 103:3).

One New Man

Those who are born of the Holy Spirit become members of the universal people of God, the Body of the Messiah. This one spiritual fellowship through the Messiah includes both Jews and Gentiles as equal members of this Body -- One New Man in Yeshua. (1 Cor. 12:12-13, 27; Eph. 2:14-16, 5:30- 32).

The establishment of the state of Israel and the return of the Jewish people to their land is a fulfilment of biblical prophecy. Israel will be a channel of blessing to all people on earth. Israel will soon accept Messiah Yeshua as their redeemer. (Gen. 12:1-3; Isa. 11; Zech. 12:10, 13:1).

Second Coming of Jesus Christ

In the second coming of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah. (Matthew 24:1-44) (John 14:1-3) (Acts 1:9- 11) (I Corinthians 15:20-24) (I Thessalonians 4:15-17) (I Thessalonians 5:1-3) (II Thessalonians 2:1- 4) (Titus 2:11-13) When the messiah returns, He shall establish His kingdom rule from Jerusalem. (Gen. 12:1-3; Isa. 11; Zech. 12:10, 13:1).

Bodily Resurrection of the Saints to Eternal Life

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saints to eternal life. (Isaiah 26:19) (Daniel 12:1-3) (Matthew 22:30-32) (Mark 12:25-27) (Luke 20:34-38) (John 5:25-29) (Romans 8:22-23) (I Corinthians 15:35-45) (I Corinthians 15:51-55) (I Corinthians 15:20-28) (Philippians 3:20-21) (I John 3:1-3) (Revelation 20:4-6)
